Services Techniques

At Picard Chiropractic we use a variety of Chiropractic Techniques, Dry Needling, Massage and Rehab to help you feel better and keep doing the things you love!

Chiropractic

Our doctors are talented at providing  comfortable, safe and specific Chiropractic Adjustments.  We use a variety of chiropractic techniques that allow for patient comfort, preference and each adjustment reflects each individual patients needs. We utilize manual adjusting techniques like Diversified Technique. We also utilize low force adjustments like Activator,  Thompson Drop and Cox distraction and SOT techniques in our clinic. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As Doctors of Chiropractic, Dr. Beau Picard and Dr. Samantha Alexander have years of training and experience in spinal adjustment.

 Dry Needling

Our doctors are certified in Dry Needling Techniques and were trained by The Dry Needling Institute. We use dry needling in our office to treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. Dry Needling is a minimally invasive technique that uses extremely thin, single use, filiform needles to target trigger points in muscles and alleviate pain and tension. Using Needling allows for our doctors to treat deep muscle dysfunction and address pain that other techniques don't address. Many patients report feeling immediate pain relief and improved mobility. Our doctors use a specific and gentle technique known as Deep Dry Needling. This type of dry needling is more comfortable that typical dry needling methods used by other practitioners, as there is no movement of the needle once it is placed. Most patients report  no pain during Dry Needling with our doctors.

 Rehab

We often find it helpful to "coach" our patients on certain activities they should approach differently to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge. In our office we offer Rehab Appointments, during these visits our doctors will watch how you move and offer exercises to help support your healing.  These exercises vary from person to person based on your lifestyle, your abilities and your goals.  Most often our recommendations include a combination of strengthening exercises, mobility work and movement modifications. Our goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle full of the activities they enjoy most.

 Therapeutic Massage

We offer Therapeutic Massage in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Our LMT Shayla Tokar is an expert at providing relief for muscle tension and trigger points. Therapeutic Massage is the assessment and treatment of soft tissue and joint dysfunction to help restore flexibility and range of motion. Massage therapy and Chiropractic go hand in hand.

 Sports Physicals & Athletic Evaluations

Our doctors are now offering sports physicals! Whether getting ready for summer sports camps or gearing up for a sports season, we have your pre-participation exam needs covered.

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is a hands-on approach to muscle and joint rehabilitation. During each session, treatment focuses on relieving pain, improving mobility, and promoting the healing of soft tissues. Manual therapy can be applied to many areas of the body, depending on the injury or condition being treated.

IASTM

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a therapeutic technique used to help relieve pain, improve mobility, and promote tissue healing. This treatment is performed using specialized stainless steel instruments that glide over the soft tissues. The controlled movement of the tools helps increase blood flow to the targeted area, supporting the body’s natural healing process.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is a soft tissue treatment in which specialized cups are placed on the skin over the affected area. The gentle suction helps increase blood flow, promote healing, and assist in breaking down tissue adhesions. Temporary circular marks may appear on the skin following treatment; these are normal, painless, and typically fade within a few days.
